Off-site Kayak and Paddle Board Rentals - Have them at your house!

I’ve spent summers on Cape Cod for quite some time, and I'm always looking for new things to do outside with my family. If you’re looking for an alternative to the beach but still want to be close to water, I would recommend renting kayaks or paddle boards at your house! This is an easy and interactive activity, and a great way to explore areas of Cape Cod from the water. When aboard either a kayak or paddle board, you have the control! You are able to decide whether you want to go out on the water for a challenging arm and core workout, or just for a leisurely exploration of the surrounding area with your family. There aren’t any time constraints either, it’s up to you and how you’re feeling. This is something I really value in any activity. Off-site rentals also serve as a helpful experiment to see if you would like to purchase a kayak or paddle board for your family. Delivery and pick up for off-sites are simple enough, and the paddles and life jackets are included in the cost. I should also note that delivery to West Dennis is free of charge, and surrounding areas only require a small fee. You’re also welcome to use your own vehicle to take it off-site. Coming from a family of all ages, it’s nice to know that everyone is be able to participate. Feel free to call Bass River Kayaks, Cruises & Paddle Boards with questions that you have or to set one up! 508-362-5555. See you on Cape Cod and on the water!

The Dog Days of Summer

Want to go kayaking, but don't want to leave the pup at home? You don't have to!  Our kayaks and canoes are dog friendly here on the Bass River of Cape Cod. All summer, dogs enjoy the boat rides and swim in the clean waters. There are plenty of birds and interesting sites for the dogs, as well as sand bars and beaches for the dogs to play on. There is plenty of room in the kayaks to fit them too! Kayaking with your pup usually works best if your dog is medium or small sized, but we've had bigger dogs try their paws at kayaking too. "Minnie" the dog, enjoys the spotlight and boat rides. There's plenty of space in the kayaks, since the human paddler's feet go on the sides of the boat. Fun times are always had by all! "Cappy" the dog enjoys kayaking at least once a month. As you can see, this 55lb dog fits just fine! East Beach (the backside of West Dennis Beach) on Bass River, is a fan
